FAQ

What happens if a licensee has not complied with the CEU requirements?

Simply put, the licensee will be ineligible for renewal. Also noteworthy is this: any person who is denied a license on these grounds and wants to apply again for a license, will be required to obtain at least 2 specified CEUs within the 12 months next preceding the date of reapplication. This is to prevent anyone from getting a "new" Full license (at a cost of $225.00) if they allowed their license to expire because they did not get the requisite CEUs.

In the case where a licensee does not have all their CEUs at renewal time, and does not want their license to expire, he/she could be eligible for renewal IF they applied for renewal on time, and earned the required CEUs by no later than the 31st day of October in the new licensure year.

Also be aware that CEUs earned in the current year and used to cure a deficiency in the prior licensure year may not be used to meet the CEU requirements of the current year.
